It's so great to see these side by side! I REALLY wish we were at school to critique this in person... these are my immediate thoughts: 1) Brighten the white wherever you can - keeping the mark in mind, however! I know this is about you, not the pup, but pup's face could use some white. In general, the dog's fur is a great opportunity to add mark-making! 2) I feel like the way the neg. space is treated in the original(s) is missing in the self-portrait and that this could pull the whole thing together, contrasting the figure with the ground. 3) I wish we had strategized to cover the hand with fabric as is done in the original - you did a great job with a challenging body part....but there's just enough weirdness.... You've got another snow day, maybe you'll be able to tackle those things? Really good work, Amelia!

Oooooooh!!! While the last step was certainly lovely, this now has a refinement that was lacking before. It's "finished." I hope you are really proud of your work :)
